The objective of this programme is to provide a platform to assist agreement organizations to increase State membership and facilitate agreement implementation. The programme also serves the purpose of highlighting the social and economic development aspects of agreements with a view to assisting States and institutions in the exploration of both the non-proliferation and the developmental potentials of weapons-related legal instruments.
